New Shell Advance Power & Long Ride Engine Oils Launched

New Shell Advance Power & Long Ride Engine Oils Launched

November 10, 2020

Shell extends its Shell Advance range of motorcycle engine oils with the introduction of benefit-focused Shell Advance Power and Shell Advance Long Ride fully synthetic motorcycle engine oils.

Shell Advance Long Ride & Shell Advance Power

Shell launches two new fully synthetic motorcycle engine oils, Shell Advance Power & Shell Advance Long Ride as a way to connect the right lubricant product to the right consumer.  These two fully synthetic motorcycle engine oils are developed with the rider’s needs and riding style in mind.

Specifically designed for 4-stroke motorcycles, these two engine oils are also the most affordable fully synthetic motorcycle engine oils currently available in Malaysia.

Speaking of the prices, the 15W-50 Shell Advance Power 1-litre pack comes with a retail price of MYR 55. On the other hand, the 10W-40 Shell Advance Long Ride 1-litre pack comes with a retail price of MYR 50 in Malaysia.

Nyon Kam Yew, Shell Lubricants General Manager for Malaysia and Singapore:

“At Shell, we have always been at the forefront of lubricant technology innovation. With the new Shell Advance Power and Shell Advance Long Ride; we want bike owners to be empowered to choose the right lubricant by simplifying the two options based on their needs.”

Shell Advance Power

The 15W- 50 Advance Power is specifically formulated for power and acceleration. The Shell Advance Power engine oil is engineered to maximise performance and also conserve the bike’s highest power output by resisting oxidation and formation of deposits. In fact, Shell put the new Advance Power through a series of 20,000km field trials in India. Where the bikes lubricated with Shell Advance Power showed no power loss even after 20,000 km.

Shell Advance Long Ride

As the name suggests, the 10W-40 Advance Long Ride is engineered for trouble-free city and long-distance travels. Engineered with low evaporation formation; the Shell Advance Long Ride ensures maximum heat endurance and reduced oil consumption for up to 6,000 km. These claims are also based on Shell’s field trials and lab test results.

PurePlus Technology

Last but not least, these two oils feature Shell’s PurePlus Technology; where natural gas is used to make 99.5 percent of base oil. Shell says both these fully synthetic oils exhibited better cold start, high-temperature performance as well as piston cleanliness compared to ester-based engine oils in their field trials and lab tests.
