21 young riders, aged 8 to 13, will be feeling the heat as they take on the racing stage in the second round of the SIC MiniGP Championship. The racers will be battling for the title at the Sepang International Kart Circuit (SIKC) this Sunday on 6 September 2020.

The opener saw Qabil Irfan claim his win at in the 110cc Category and the champion is all geared up to repeat his stellar performance this weekend. 160cc Category winner Hakim Danish is also optimistic to defend his status and leader. Before this, all riders were still adapting to the tracks, handling of the machines and the weather.

The intensive training has trained the riders to race alongside experienced mechanics.  This prepares them for better performances, increase competitiveness and boosts their confidence.

The machinery has also been improved based on feedback from the riders. The suspension of the bikes has been modified to be in top condition. This makes their bikes faster than ever before.

Tuned to the full program of the qualifying sessions, Race 1 and Race 2 of the SIC MiniGP Championship via”Facebook Livestream” on the SIC MiniGP Championship Facebook page on Sunday.

AZHAN SHAFRIMAN HANIF – Chief Executive Officer of SIC

“I am excited to see the young riders continue to race and improve their skills in Round 2. At the same time, it is a grassroots program for young riders to build their confidence in full-fledged racing machinery. What we hope to see from them is their diligence alongside dedicated and work hard to reach the next level.”

ZULFAHMI KHAIRUDDIN- ZK Racing Team Manager

“I am very excited and can’t wait to start Round 2. I hope the younger riders can race better and faster this Sunday. As always, the security aspect is very important so that everything runs smoothly “.
