Yamaha Y15ZR V3, Exciter 155 VVA Vietnam Launch Is Set for Tomorrow?!

A few weeks earlier we reported on the Yamaha Exciter RC 155 VVA / Yamaha Y15ZR V3 spy shots and here is the latest update! It looks like Yamaha Vietnam is getting ready to launch the Yamaha Exciter 155 VVA for Vietnam tomorrow!

Earlier in May, we reported on the Yamaha Exciter RC( or Yamaha Y15ZR) leak. Images of the bike in a cargo container were circulating around Facebook and WhatsApp groups. Some of the users claimed the bike was spotted here in Malaysia with the caption: “1 unit of Y15ZR V3 arrived in Hong Leong Yamaha for testing”. However, we confirmed it was just a bluff.

The Yamaha Y15ZR V3 in Malaysia is known as the Yamaha Exciter RC in other markets. From the leaks, we speculated the new “Exciter RC” in the photo with VVA engine and keyless would more likely be the upcoming 2020 Y15ZR V3 for the Malaysian market and here is the latest update on this buzz!

Apparently Yamaha Vietnam is getting ready for a product launch tomorrow (24th July 2020). However, the interesting part is that, in the invitation, it says ” EXCITER – RIDING THE KING”

So is Yamaha Vietnam getting ready to launch the Exciter RC 155 VVA ( Y15ZR V3) for Vietnam? Well, although the invitation is legit (upon checking with the venue), we can’t guarantee if Yamaha would actually launch the new Exciter RC tomorrow. This is because back in June,  Mr. Yano Takeshi, President of Yamaha Motor Vietnam, stated that there will not be any new Yamaha Exciter models released this year…Maybe plans changed afterwards?
