CFMoto India and partner AMW motorcycles set to launch new range of bikes by mid-2019

In case you missed out, CFMoto and its Indian partner AMW motorcycles are set to launch a range of motorcycles in India by mid-2019. The bikes will come in ranges of 250cc up to 650cc.

Chinese firm CFMoto is also venturing into the premium sector too with its joint venture with KTM to produce a 999cc, V-Twin, LC8 engine for KTM from 2020 onwards. The new engines are expected to power its new range of motorcycles.

AMW Motorcycles is a private company which is relatively new that is based in Bengaluru. They are currently in the midst of setting up an assembly plant. The CFMoto-AMW partnership is likely to present the 250NK, 400NK, 650NK and 650MT models.

The 250NK is a naked motorcycle which features a 250cc, fuel-injected, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine running a DOHC setup which is capable of delivering 26.5 HP at 9,000 RPM and 22 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle will also come withall-LED lighting and riding modes.

The 400NK and the 650NK are much alike with similar cosmetics but they differ in the engine capacities. The 400NK gets a parallel-twin, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with an 8-valve setup churning out 41.4 HP at 9500 RPM and 34.4 Nm of torque at 7650 RPM whereas the 650NK gets a 649.3cc engine churning out 61 HP at 9000 RPM and 56 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. Both the bikes feature 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and a rear monoshock and are held up by a tubular diamond-steel frame.

The 650MT is an adventure focused motorcycle and has adventure tourer styling, hand guards, large windscreen and a larger single-piece seat. It produces 70.7 HP at 8750 RPM and 65 Nm of torque.
