The BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR has provided excellent performances in its 2019 races thus far and there is no doubt that the bike will be going places with its fantastic run.
BMW Motorrad served up a sterling performance in the 2019 Italian Superbike Championship (CIV) season at Misano during the weekend with its BMW S 1000 RR. During the first race, Italy’s very own Roberto Tamburini of Cherry Box 24 Guanalini Racing snatched a podium finish. Compatriots Matteo Baiocco of DMR Racing made it pass the chequered flag at fifth place. Teammate Luca Vitali trailed right behind at sixth place. Andrea Mantovani of Berclaz Racing Italia came in at eighth place to round up the top ten. In the second race, Baiocco capped his run at fifth place. Tamburini then came in at sixth with Mantovani claiming eighth place. The BMW S1000 RR saw another podium win in the 2019 Italian National Trophy 1000 (IT 1000). This is courtesy of Italy’s Michel Fabrizio coming in third place. Luca Salvadori of Berclaz Racing Italia and Francesco Coco were close behind in fourth and fifth place respectively. Germany’s Markus Reiterberger has now become the new face of the new prevention campaign. Riding for BMW Motorrad WorldSBK in the World Championship, the racer has voiced out his thoughts on the new deal. “I’m really happy to be able to help the South Hesse police force as the face of this year’s accident prevention campaign, and thereby play an important role in spreading the message ‘It’s in your own hands’. Each year motorcycle riders die on German roads as a result of excessive speed, losing control and recklessness. That doesn’t have to be the case if you remember that racers belong on the racetrack and not on the road! This message is very important, and I want to help it reach those it concerns,” said Reiterberger according to BMW Motorrad.
