KTM reveals limited edition 790 Adventure Rally

KTM reveals limited edition 790 Adventure Rally

KTM announced its most radical adventure bike of the year and the 790 Adventure Rally will be available as a limited edition model.

The Austrian brand KTM is known for its off-road range. The Adventure models offer great off-road performance while being also great on the road. But for this year KTM is building a hardcore version of the 790 Adventure. The 790 Adventure Rally is intended for those long journeys in the dirt.

Based on the current 790 Adventure R, the Rally variant features the same chassis. This means a trellis tubular frame. Inside the frame, there’s the parallel twin cylinder LC8c engine boasting 95 hp.

The biggest upgrade is found on the new suspensions. KTM installs what are some of the best off-road suspensions available on their range. We’re talking about the WP Xplor Pro units, fully adjustable of course. These suspensions are for those riders that look for the best performance under extreme conditions. They offer an extra 30 mm wheel travel. The seat height is also higher reaching 910 mm.

Easy to adjust, the suspensions feature some of the best technologies used by KTM in rally racing. This means reduced friction internals so the rider can ride longer without so much effort.

Besides the Xplor Pro suspensions, KTM installs a lighter Akrapovic, carbon fiber parts to protect the engine, quickshifter+, special Rally footpegs, and an exclusive graphics and color scheme.

The 790 Adventure Rally will be built in very limited numbers. KTM says only 500 will be available worldwide!

As for the price, KTM isn’t saying how much the bike will cost. But we expect a hefty increase compared to the price of the current 790 Adventure R.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
