Ducati is working on a new Streetfighter sport naked bike based on the Panigale V4 superbike. New spy shots show the bike in test sessions on track.
It’s no secret that Ducati will be revealing a new Streetfighter sport naked bike at EICMA Milan. Paolo Ciabati, one of the most important persons in Ducati, confirmed that the Streetfighter V4 is Ducati’s next big project. And after some photos of a prototype for Pikes Peak Hill Climb, the Streetfighter V4 was caught again in spy shots.
This time Ducati masked the bike with some special camouflage graphics. The spy shots published by DDG website don’t reveal many details. They’re probably photos taken on a mobile phone and zoom to the maximum. But even with such poor quality photos, we can see that the new Streetfighter V4 still retains the design of the old V2 model.
The 1100 cc V4 engine will deliver around 190 hp, but the torque delivery will be much smoother. That will make the new Streetfighter V4 the most powerful supernaked. Of course, all the electronic riding aids will be taken from the Panigale V4 superbike.
Carlin Dunne will race the prototype of the Streetfighter V4 at the next Pikes Peak Hill Climb. But the big moment will happen in November when Ducati reveals the production version of this bike at the EICMA Milan motorcycle show.
