Marc Marquez tries out a very different type of bike!

Marc Marquez tries out a very different type of bike!

Marc Marquez

MotoGP champion and Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez is making the most out of the three weeks that separate the first two rounds of the MotoGP season. The Spaniard decided to have some fun, and while he wasn’t able to train motocross over the past three months while recovering from his shoulder injury, as soon as Marquez arrived in Spain coming from the Qatar GP, he immediately picked up his dirt bike and went to his motocross track.

“Three months without MX seemed too long, so I had fun just like a little kid”, said Marc Marquez while posting a video on his Instagram page.

But besides riding his Honda CRF450 on the dirt, Marc Marquez has also spent some time riding a very different type of bike. Together with the help of Alfredo Gomez, a hard-enduro rider, Marquez tried a dirt bike with some modifications done by Russian company Snowrider, changes that allow the bike to be ridden in the snow.

These dirt bikes converted to be ridden in the snow have now become a new way for riders to train on a very special surface, and is so compact and light when compared to traditional snow bikes, these special dirt bikes are giving riders a whole new set of skills that allow them to gain better control on while riding on asphalt.

Marc Marquez is conscious about the benefits of training in these bikes and also shared some moments while having some fun in the snow.

While we are sure that Marc Marquez had a lot of fun training motocross and in the snow, we also bet that his doctors aren’t all that happy with how Marquez is getting ready for the second race of the season in Argentina, since he’s still at the end of the recovery process on his shoulder injury, and a fall while riding his dirt bike might create a new injury.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
