SBK – Jordi Torres returns and joins Pedercini Kawasaki

Having made the final MotoGP rounds of last season, Jordi Torres will return to the World Superbike championship in 2019 after Pedercini Kawasaki confirmed they’ve signed the Spanish rider that this season raced for MV Agusta.

Covering for injured Tito Rabat on the Reale Avintia Ducati, Torres picked up his maiden MotoGP point during the last race of the season in Valencia, and Torres performance was praised by team technicians for how quick he adapted to the MotoGP prototype.

Now, Torres faces a new and exciting challenge in 2019. The Spanish rider is ready ahead of his return to the championship: “I’m happy to have found a historical Team of WorldSBK that runs with a winning bike. Kawasaki is the right bike for the WorldSBK championship and I cannot wait to try it to express everything that this bike can give on the track. A special thanks to Lucio Pedercini for giving me this opportunity. I trust the team and I know that it has the experience to give me the weapons to fight and express my potential. It is a pride for me to be part of Team Pedercini and a I have a great desire to start working”.

The Pedercini Kawasaki team will present themselves during the Verona Motorbike Expo, in Italy, where they’ll not only reveal the new graphic scheme for the Kawasaki, but they’ll take the opportunity to present Jordi Torres to the fans.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
