At the EICMA Milan motorcycle show, in the first days of November, Aprilia stunned the fans with a brand-new concept called RS 660. And although the Noale based manufacturer didn’t give many details on this model, the fans asked Aprilia to build a production version of the concept, and the Italian brand seems to be willing to accept those demands.
The development bikes were caught last weekend lapping the Italian racetrack Vallelunga and first published by Italian news site Moto.it, who say that the bikes on the photos are two different versions: a race version (seen outside the garage) and a road version (inside the garage).
The styling is very much similar to the RS 660 concept bike seen at EICMA, and Italian sources say that Aprilia will use much of the knowledge they’ve got from the RSV4 project, meaning the electronics package, known as aPRC, will probably be used on the production version of the RS 660 when it arrives to Aprilia dealerships.
And when exactly will the RS 660 be available?
Since the concept was shown just a month ago, but also considering Aprilia is already testing the RS 660 for development on the racetrack, we expect the production version to be shown in 2019, probably during the next EICMA show.
