Three new bikes added to Benelli Malaysia lineup

Three new bikes added to Benelli Malaysia lineup

Benelli TRK 251

During the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2018, Benelli Malaysia revealed three new motorcycles that will join the already impressive lineup of the Italian brand in 2019. The TRK251, 502C and the Leoncino 250.

These three new models were seen by the public for the very first time in Malaysia at the KLIMS, and MForce, official distributor for Benelli motorcycles in the country, also revealed that they will be available for customers by the second half of 2019.

The Benelli 502C is an urban cruiser at its best, with muscular lines, powerful engine and great chassis so that any rider is able to enjoy the ride at its fullest.

Benelli 502C

The platform on which the 502C is built is basically the same we’ve already seen Benelli applying to the popular Leoncino. The engine is the proven twin-cylinder unit, with parallel cylinders achieving a maximum power of a little under 47 hp and 45 Nm of maximum torque.

With a steel tubular trellis frame housing the engine and big bike chassis components like 41 mm fork, a rear monoshock and disc brakes, the 502C tips the scale at 216 kg ready to ride, and with a 21-liter fuel tank, this Benelli should prove to be very enjoyable on the long cruises.

Next up on the novelties list for 2019 is the Benelli Leoncino 250. It’s basically a reduced version of the bigger Leoncino, and the Italian brand has left the sweet design almost untouched in this 250 variant.

The beating heart of the Leoncino 250 is the same single-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled 250 cc engine that equips other bikes in the Benelli range with the same displacement. Maximum power and torque are respectively 26.8 hp and 21 Nm.

The steel tube trellis frame fits perfectly with the tank design, offering balanced and dynamic surfaces, as does the tail guard, extremely compact. The full-LED headlight assembly has been completely renovated compared to the Leoncino 500, while the instrument panel is digital and clearly visible in all conditions.

The last of the three new models shown at KLIMS 2018 is the adventure model TRK251.

The styling cues mimic the ones the Pesaro based manufacturer has applied to the bigger version, the TRK502, and this TRK version is intended for those riders that are looking to add some adventure to their life without paying top money for a big trail.

The engine is the known and proven single-cylinder unit with 250 cc, tuned to deliver no less than 26,8 hp and 21 Nm, good numbers which should be easy to explore even by those riders without too much experience in the off-road world, especially important since the TRK251 can be ridden with a B2 license.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
