New Wave 125i introduced by Boon Siew Honda

New Wave 125i introduced by Boon Siew Honda

Boon Siew Honda, the official importer for the Japanese brand in the Malaysian market, has announced the arrival of the brand-new Wave 125i, a new model that continues to enrich the famous and popular Wave series from Honda.

The Wave has been updated throughout the years since its introduction on the Malaysian market, and this time Honda made sure the 2019 Wave 125i sets itself apart from its rivals with premium styling and features.

So what’s new to the Wave 125i?

The design has been given a major update, with refreshed and even more aggressive body lines that reinforce the sportiness of this cub model. Covering the fairings, we can see a new two-tone paint scheme and a full body stripe graphic, and for greater security and a more premium look, the headlight is now completely LED.

Under the larger seat that will provide the rider with more comfort on longer rides, there’s also a bigger under seat storage space, a U-Box style, that is able to store a full face helmet. This space is now accessed by using the same key as the ignition, so it even more convenient for the rider.

And as we said, the comfort provided by the new seat will be very important because, with a new 5,4-liter fuel tank, the 2019 Wave 125i will be able to cover 300 km (estimated) with a single fuel tank. Not bad!

And because this cub bike is made to cater all your needs, Honda offers the Wave 125i in two variants: single front brake disc or double brake disc. The price changes a bit, with Boon Siew Honda announcing that the single brake disc version costs RM5999, and the double brake disc version RM6299.

The Wave 125i is available in three colour options namely Pearl Magellanic Black with Candy Scintillate Red, Pearl Magellanic Black with Pearl Nightfall Blue and Force Silver Metallic.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
