Puig lets you install MotoGP style wings in your sportbike

Since the moment MotoGP teams started using wings on their MotoGP prototypes, we knew it was only a matter of time until someone took that idea and used it to make an accessory for those of us that aren’t MotoGP riders but still want to have our bikes looking like a bike ridden by Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi or Hafizh Syahrin.

Aprilia was the first manufacturer to bring the MotoGP style wings to its flagship superbike, the RSV4, and the new RSV4 RF Factory Works not only has 215 hp, but it also comes fitted with the wings.

Ducati on the other hand, was the first to use these wings on the MotoGP bike, but they haven’t shown any special Panigale V4 with wings. But the Italian brand already confirmed that the upcoming V4 R version will benefit from a MotoGP aero package, probably wings.

Now, Spanish accessories manufacturer Puig, has come up with a brand-new accessory that will allow anyone to use MotoGP wings on their road going superbike.

Puig has created the wings to be used on superbikes from BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki or Yamaha, and they even guarantee that by using the wings the rider will benefit from an increase in front downforce that will create a 2kg pressure on the front tyre at 150 km/h, and that weight will increase exponentially as the speed increases, passing the 8,3 kg threshold when the bike is going over 300 km/h!

The fitting of the wings is easy, and Puig says it will take just 40 minutes to transform any regular superbike into a MotoGP style bike.
