Introduced in Malaysia in 2010, the Bonus series returns this year with a host of new features that will make Malaysian riders really happy while riding this moped from SYM Malaysia, not only because of its sporty design, but also because during the years the Bonus has set itself as a benchmark in terms of durability.

The new SYM Bonus series divides into three models, or variants: E Bonus 110, E Bonus 110 H and Bonus 110SR.

All of them share the same single-cylinder 2 valve SOHC engine that displaces 108cc and produces 7.1 hp at 7,500 rpm, with the power getting to the ground via a four-speed rotary gearbox. This new engine isn’t only more powerful, but also cleaner, being Euro 3 compliant.

The SYM Bonus series comes with front and rear drum brakes for the E Bonus 110 and E Bonus 110 H, while the Bonus 110SR gets brake discs at the front and drum at the rear. The E Bonus 110 has a pair of spoked rims, while the E Bonus H and Bonus 110SR are equipped with cast wheels. Telescopic forks at the front and oil-damped twin coil-spring shock absorbers in the rear come standard across to all variants.

A USB socket is exclusively added to the Bonus SR which allows users to charge their devices while riding the bike.

These SYM moped aren’t only great to look at, but they’ll also be easy to ride, with the manufacturer announcing that the weight of these Bonus series is only of 103 kg (dry weight), while the 4-liter fuel tank will get the rider a great range before needing to refuel.

There are 3 colour options which are blue, black and red, and the SYM E Bonus 110 retails for a sales price of RM3,768.00, the E Bonus 110 H retails at RM3,898.00, the Bonus 110SR retails at RM4,278.00 (all prices are excluding road tax and insurance).

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
