Indonesian rider Galang Hendra Pratama (Biblion Yamaha Motoxracing) stepped into the top of the podiu at today’s World Supersport 300 race in Brno, closing with a win what had been a fantastic weekend for the 19-year-old.
After securing for the first time “pole position”, Galang Hendra Pratama lost the lead of the 10 lap race to Spanish female rider Ana Carrasco (DS Junior Team Kawasaki), but the young Indonesian fought back right away and got the lead back from Carrasco.
From then on, Galang Hendra Pratama ran away at the front of the SSP300 race, a race that was red flagged three laps from the finish due to a crash on the back of a large group that was fighting for the top spots behind Pratama.
With more than two thirds of the race completed at the time of the crash, Race Direction had no option but to declare the end of the race, with Galang Hendra Pratama securing his second career win at SSP300.
Behind him and on the podium at Brno were Walid Khan (Nutec- Benjan – Kawasaki) who took his first WorldSSP300 podium in second, with Borja Sánchez (ETG Racing) in third.
