Harley-Davidson, one of the world’s oldest bike manufacturers, has made announcements to enter the used motorcycle business in India. The Indian market is undeniably the largest automotive markets in the world considering the widespread of population and the increasing demand.
According to Peter Mackenzie, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India has noted that the concept was being tested at several dealerships since the last few months. The program will be introduced to dealers across India soon.
India, generally filled with bikers that prefer products close to home, usually do not opt for high-end foreign-manufactured bikes like Harley-Davidson. However, it seems like many of the Harley enthusiasts will be delighted over this news. The brand currently has 27 outlets across the country and all of them are expected to offer the new used bike services.
Details of the service have yet to be announced, this includes warranty and used bike certification- something that is used to gain the trust of the customers. All information will be presented to the public when officially announced.
The apparel is said to target young adults that are potential customers of the brand. A formal announcement will be made for the official date of this program. Stay tuned for the update!
