Next June during what will be the 96th edition of the famous “Race to the Clouds”, officially known as Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Ducati will make a return to this racing event to try a recapture the title and also the record for the fastest motorcycle to get to the top of the mountain in Colorado, United States.
Ducati had the title for many years before Chris Fillmore took that honour on a KTM machine. Now that Ducati has a new Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak Edition, they’re back to reclaim the title.
The team is known as Spider Grips Ducati Pikes Peak Team, composed by two experienced riders: former record holder Carlin Dunne and the current middleweight record holder Codie Vahsholtz.
They will use the new Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak Edition, upgraded to race specs.
The 96th Pikes Peak Hill Climb will run on Sunday, June 24.
