After being named the sole distributor of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in Malaysia, Didi Resources Sdn Bhd has started to give a new life to the famous American brand by opening the first of three new dealerships in Malaysia. The grand opening of the Harley-Davidson of Petaling Jaya was a great event, and also allowed Harley owners to see in person for the first time the new 20,000 square foot dealership in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur.

Located in the well-known Gasket Alley, Harley-Davidson of Petaling Jaya is now officially open and working under the guidance of Goh Brothers Motorcycles Sdn Bhd, a company under Goh Brothers Capital, which is known to be a retail specialist for several automotive brands in Malaysia.

The new dealership has everything an Harley-Davidson owner or fan needs, including general merchandise and genuine Harley-Davidson parts and accessories, plus all the 2018 latest models manufactured at the Milwaukee factory like the limited edition 115th anniversary Street Glide, Road Glide Special and the new Softail lineup.

This new dealership in Petaling Jaya it’s the first of three that Didi Resources Sdn Bhd has planned to open in 2018, the other two being one in Malacca and another one in Penang. The opening of these dealerships will be during the second half of 2018.

But Harley-Davidson of Petaling Jaya it’s not only about new bikes!

The owners of H-D motorcycles can go there and experience a truly impressive service center, with trained technicians from the Harley-Davidson University that will give use to a total of six fully equipped service bays for regular maintenance of the bikes, and also repairing or customizing bikes within the body and paint center at the dealership.

As for existing H-D owners of motorcycles registered before 2018, they can rest assured that Harley-Davidson of Petaling Jaya, and the Harley-Davidson dealerships under the guidance of the new sole distributor Didi Resources Sdn Bhd, will continue to service their bikes during the two-year factory warranty period.

And because Harley-Davidson is a lot more than just riding a bike, it’s a lifestyle, Harley-Davidson of Petaling Jaya are now also the people behind the new H.O.G. Petaling Jaya Chapter Malaysia.

The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) it’s an exciting way for the brand to engage with its clients, creating activities, events and rides while at the same time it can give a more personalized service to their most loyal customers.

The first of the special events from the H.O.G. After returning to Petaling Jaya they got together with another 1500 Harley-Davidson owners and enjoyed a party with live music, food, drinks and lucky draw at the dealership. A true example of the companionship and freedom that Harley-Davidson stands for.

Present at the official opening of the Harley-Davidson of Petaling Jaya were Managing Director of Harley-Davidson Asia Emerging Markets, Mr. Johan Kleinsteuber, Chairman of DIDI Resources, Mr. Rewi Hamid Bugo and Chairman of Goh Brothers Motorcycles, Mr. Goh Kian Sin.

Mr Johan Kleinsteuber said: “Together with our new authorised sole-distributor partner, DIDI Resources, we are happy to refresh our trusted network of independently owned dealerships in Malaysia, a country Harley-Davidson has been committed to since 2008. Harley-Davidson’s unrivalled products and experiences are now closer to motorcycling enthusiasts in Kuala Lumpur and across Asia, helping them fulfil their dreams of personal freedom”.

“As the authorized distributor of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in Malaysia, we are working closely with Harley-Davidson Motor Company in supporting the growth of the brand in Malaysia, with more exciting opening announcements to come in 2018”, said Chairman of Didi Resources Sdn Bhd, Mr Rewi Hamid Bugo.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
