Yamaha Motor Europe has officially announced the winners of the 2025 YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup, following two days of rigorous evaluation at the YZ BLU CRU Masterclass in the South of France. The event, held at the picturesque MC des Costières circuit, gathered young motocross talents aged 10 to 16 who earned their spots through strong performances at the SuperFinale during the MXGP of Sweden.
BLU CRU mentors Gautier Paulin, Brian Jørgensen and Nancy van de Ven actively assessed the riders on speed, technique, attitude, and overall potential. The 2025 talent pool proved exceptionally competitive, with many young racers demonstrating maturity beyond their years.
The 2025 Champions
YZ125 – Drew Stock (United Kingdom)
Sixteen-year-old Drew Stock emerged as the standout rider in the YZ125 class, impressing coaches with his pace and consistency. His victory secures him a place in the 2026 EMX125 Championship. Now he will compete on a GYTR-kitted YZ125 with support from a Yamaha-backed team.
YZ85 – Leo Gajser (Slovenia)
Slovenian rider Leo Gajser, aged 13, made history as the first Slovenian winner of the YZ BLU CRU Cup. His strong technique and composure set him apart throughout the Masterclass, earning Yamaha’s support for his 2026 campaign.
YZ65 – Tymon Andrzejewski (Poland)
In the YZ65 category, 11-year-old Tymon Andrzejewski became the first Polish rider to claim the Cup. His speed and sharp race instincts impressed the judging panel, completing this year’s trio of class winners.
A Strong Field and a Bright Future
Coaches noted that the level of competition continues to rise each year. Improvements are seen not only in raw speed but also in rider discipline and technical understanding. Many participants demonstrated professional habits uncommon for their age, reflecting strong support systems from families and teams.
Although only one winner could be chosen per class, Yamaha emphasised that all riders displayed significant potential and should take pride in their performances.
Next Stop: 2026 SuperFinale at Motocross of Nations
With the 2025 season concluded, preparations are already underway for 2026. A total of 120 riders from YZ BLU CRU Cups worldwide will compete for a place on the gate at next year’s YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale. It will run alongside the legendary Monster Energy Motocross of Nations in Ernee, France, from October 2 to 4, 2026.
The YZ BLU CRU Cup remains open and free for Yamaha riders aged 8 to 16 racing YZ65, YZ85 or YZ125 machinery.
