Honda is preparing riders for a big visual change. Beginning in 2026, the world’s largest motorcycle brand will clearly distinguish its electric machines from its combustion classics, not through bodywork or silhouette, but through branding itself.
Electric Hondas Get a Standalone Signature
Future battery-powered Hondas will adopt a clean, modern “HONDA” wordmark, the same typography now used across its EV cars. The logic is simple: one unified visual language for all electric Hondas, whether it has two wheels or four.
This new branding will appear:
- on the bikes themselves
- at dedicated electric Honda showrooms
- in EV motorsports programmes
The first production model to debut the styling will be the all-new Honda WN7, the motorcycle set to lead Honda’s global electric push starting in Asia before expanding to other markets.
Honda says the new identity is a signal of intent: electric Hondas are not “just another variant”. They represent a new pillar inside the company and deserve their own symbol.
The Legendary Wing Isn’t Gone, It’s Upgraded
For petrol-powered motorcycles, the iconic Wing stays but moves into a sharper, more premium style.
The reworked “Honda Flagship Wing” is now finished in a more sophisticated silver-black look designed to sit comfortably on everything from cruisers to superbikes. It’s also produced using recycled acrylic resin, a subtle sustainability touch that fits Honda’s wider manufacturing strategy.
The badge made its public debut at EICMA 2025 on the V3R E-Compressor prototype. Expect the refreshed Wing to start appearing on Honda’s top ICE models, like the CBR series, Gold Wing and Rebel, from 2026 onward.
A Brand Built on Two Powertrains Now Branded Like It
Honda is doing something smart: rather than forcing electric bikes and combustion icons under a single design, it’s letting both identities breathe.
- Electric: clean, future-facing typography
- ICE: premium evolution of the heritage Wing
Both communicate different sides of the brand, innovation and legacy, without one overshadowing the other.
As the EV motorcycle segment accelerates, Honda is positioning itself to operate confidently in both worlds. And with this new visual language, riders will instantly know which side of Honda they’re looking at, the silent future or the mechanically beating heart of the past.
