The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team is back on the grid this weekend, September 26–28, for Round 10 of the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship at Spain’s demanding MotorLand Aragón circuit. After an encouraging outing at Magny-Cours, riders Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter arrive in Spain with renewed determination to convert promise into podium-challenging results.
Building on Magny-Cours Momentum
The French round earlier this month gave the Yamaha squad valuable data and a clear step forward in race pace. Gardner showed flashes of front-running speed, while Aegerter steadily regained rhythm after a challenging mid-season. The Aragón weekend offers a prime opportunity to turn that momentum into tangible results as the championship enters its final three rounds.
Gardner Targets Consistency
Gardner carries fond yet unfinished business at Aragón. The Australian displayed strong speed at the venue last year but was denied meaningful results by a series of setbacks. This time, he is focused on executing clean races and maintaining the pace shown in recent rounds.
Aegerter Returns with a Point to Prove
For Dominique Aegerter, Aragón represents both a comeback and a chance to remind the paddock of his outright pace. The Swiss rider missed last year’s visit due to injury. However, he has fond memories of strong performances at the 5.1-kilometre Spanish circuit.
Key Weekend Schedule
The action begins with free practice and Superpole qualifying on Friday, setting the stage for three critical races:
- Race 1: Saturday, 14:00 CEST
- Superpole Race: Sunday, 11:00 CEST
- Race 2: Sunday, 14:00 CEST
With only three rounds remaining in the 2025 WorldSBK season, the GYTR GRT Yamaha squad aims to capitalise on their upward trajectory and finish the year on a high. Aragón’s mix of long straights and technical corners will provide the ultimate test of their recent progress and the perfect stage for Gardner and Aegerter to turn potential into points.
