Yamaha has launched the latest generation of its TMax and TMax Tech Max, now upgraded with a sportier design and state-of-the-art electronic features.

The biggest feature is a sportier design with Yamaha claiming this latest TMax draws inspiration from the Supersport design. This explains the usage of an aluminium chassis and more aggressive seats.

Comfort levels are now better with a new adjustable windshield with an air funnel in the centre that serves to reduce wind pressure on the rider.

Yamaha also upgraded the tires with the use of Spin Forged rims that are lighter than previous models and work to lower inertia by more than 10 per cent at the front and 6 per cent at the rear.

The 2022 model also comes with Bridgestone Battlax SC2 tires as standard.

Yamaha also updated the suspension system with the use of a new USD 41mm front fork and a new rear single shock absorber that further enhances the level of riding efficiency.

The TMax and TMax Tech Max 2022 remain powered by the same 560cc engine. It is capable of delivering 47hp and 55.7Nm. With a weight of 218kg, it makes this maxi-scooter is the lightest in its class.

Also stealing the spotlight is the use of the all-new 7 ″ TFT screen with smartphone connectivity as well. Adding on to that is the Garmin maps that can be connected using Bluetooth/Wifi/USB.
