Tony Cairoli won his third win of the year at Loket MXGP

  Antonio Cairoli is in great shape, and today he earned his third victory of the year. With less than two months until his 36th birthday, the KTM racer claimed the lead in the race at Loket shortly after the start of the second race and controlled events from that moment on.

The MXGP’s second race began as the first ended: with Jorge Prado in the lead. However, the Italian took the lead after roughly a minute, followed by Jeremy Seewer, Glenn Coldenhoff, and then Tim Gajser. Five minutes into the race, so were the top ten: Cairoli, Prado, Seewer, Gajser, Coldenhoff, Ivo Monticelli, Shaun Simpson, Pauls Jonass, Calvin Vlaanderen and Alessandro Lupino. Shortly after, one of the main moments of the race happened, with Gajser falling. The Slovenian, who was still in fourth place, was putting pressure on Seewer for third place. However, after only one obstacle on the track, the rider lost control of the bike and fell to the ground, losing several positions and resuming the race in 22nd place. In the meantime, the race kept on going at a good pace, and near the end, Seewer overtook Prado for second place. No one could beat the veteran Cairoli until the end, and he won his third race of the season at Loket.
